Dear Neighbors: There is an effort underway to install stop signs on Clifton Road NE at Harriett Avenue, and we hope you will support it.
Due to speeding on Clifton between Ponce and Marlbrook, it’s an extremely dangerous intersection. While there is a crosswalk, cars rarely stop for pedestrians. There have been multiple recent vehicle accidents, including just in May. It’s dangerous for vehicles to turn onto Clifton from Harriett, and to top it all off, this is also an intersection on the APS bus route.
Both the Lake Claire & Candler Park neighborhood associations need to approve the idea before it can move through Atlanta City Council. CPNO will vote during the August 18 meeting, and we hope you will cast your ballot in support!
