Letters to the Editor

Guidelines

The Editor of the Candler Park Neighborhood Organization’s Messenger welcomes opinion pieces from members (letters to the editor).  The guidelines are:

  • Absent strong justification, authors will be asked to cut anything over 500 words; fewer than 400 words is ideal.
  • Please keep letters civil. Letter writers will not be allowed to “call out” others in the neighborhood. 
  • The letter writer should state his or her reason for writing and get to the point.
  • The letter writer should include a one-sentence bio with their submission (e.g., name and how long lived in Candler Park; any CPNO or other positions held that might be relevant).
  • Humor is welcomed, while profanity is not.
  • The editors reserve the right to edit for style and clarity.
  • The editors may be unable to publish all opinion pieces and reserve the right to judge each submission individually.
